I would like to point out that the female stowaway is the sister of one of the explorers of the planet the ship is bound. Their relationship is actually of brother and sister, not husband and wife. Thank you.

I don't believe that's true in this version of the story. They are an estranged husband and wife. I recall the 80s incarnation of Twilight Zone remade this story and may have re-imagined it as brother and sister.
Nonetheless, this is a truly amazing piece of work. Startling and disturbing, even by modern standards.

This is one of my favorite X-1 episodes. It had me on the edge of my seat and biting my lip. Must have looked odd to my family (I have it on my iPod). :D
