This is the first contact between two alien space ships, one from Earth (with crew members sounding like worried B-actors) and one from a non-human ship (with the captain sounds like he is pinching his nose when he talks). They are similar to each other, but are also afraid that the other will follow them back to conquer their home planets.
Nice story by Murray Leinster.

I've always thought this story was one of XM1's worst- not because the acting or effects were bad, but because the ending of the original story was utterly destroyed by this adaptation, and ended with a great deal of promise- rather than the doubt and uncertainty of this episode. Give this one a miss, I say.

I liked this episode a lot, actually. Can't remember the ending but I enjoyed everything else.
The aliens and humans getting to know each other and you want to trust the aliens (and the humans) but you don't know if you can, just like the characters.
