This time it's not men that are destroying the world, it's a comet that's pulled the Earth away from it's orbit. Two children hear their parents talk about what it's like to have a sun and plenty of air to breath. Now they have to breath from buckets of air. Real depressing, effective imagery by Fritz Leiber.
this is my favorite episode, not just of x-1 but from all of old time radio. I absolutely love it.

I didn't like this story, it's one of those that I mark down so that I never listen to it again. Can't really be more specific, really, just didn't like it.

It's been years since I've heard this one but will never forget it. That is the marking of a good story weather it is a feel good or not.

I haven't heard this one since I was a kid in the 1950s, listening on my crystal radio. During recent heavy snows, I thought of it somehow - and found it here! Perfect!

I first heard this story on public radio during a late winter nights drive. My kids were asleep in the back of the car. The setting was perfect and the story was just perfect. Still is 20 years later

It's best read, and it is still my favorite.
